Proof-of-Progress (PoP)

Every verified experiment on Signal ends with a single outcome — Proof of Progress.

It’s the digital evidence that something real happened, measured and confirmed.

A PoP is not a badge, nor a score.

It’s a permanent, verifiable record of improvement — anchored to data that can be traced, trusted, and built upon.

Definition and Purpose

Proof-of-Progress (PoP) is the foundational unit of truth inside the Signal network.

It connects three things:

  1. The Champion who completed the protocol,
  2. The Protocol that guided the process, and
  3. The Verified data confirming results.

Once verified, this information is sealed on-chain.

It becomes part of a shared, evolving dataset — a collective memory of what actually works across health, biology, and performance.

The purpose of PoP is simple:

to make human progress measurable, portable, and permanent.

Structure of a PoP

Each Proof-of-Progress includes:

  • Protocol ID and version — defining the exact experiment followed
  • Verification data — timestamped logs, lab results, or device readings
  • Champion’s pseudonymous ID — ensuring privacy while maintaining traceability
  • Oracle signatures — confirming data integrity
  • Transaction record — creating a permanent, verifiable link

Together, these elements form a cryptographic fingerprint of a completed experiment.

Anyone can audit the proof without ever seeing personal information.

Verification Flow

When a Champion finishes a protocol:

  1. Their data is submitted for validation.
  2. Oracles cross-check timestamps, lab results, and sensor outputs.
  3. If consistency and thresholds are met, the oracle signs off.
  4. A Proof-of-Progress NFT is minted and linked to the Champion and the protocol.

This NFT represents verified effort — not speculation or self-reporting.

It is a factual record of cause and effect.

Why PoP Matters

Progress is fragile.

Without structure, it disappears into screenshots, chats, and forgotten spreadsheets.

PoP changes that.

It gives every result — no matter how small — a place in the permanent story of human evolution.

For Champions, it’s recognition for credible work.

For Pioneers, it’s validation that their ideas stand up to replication.

For Patrons, it’s a transparent signal of impact.

For Signal itself, it’s the foundation that keeps the entire network honest.

Building the Network of Proof

Each new PoP strengthens the overall dataset.

When hundreds of Champions complete the same protocol, patterns begin to emerge — across age, region, and context.

The system starts to learn.

Signal’s data graph grows with every verified contribution, forming a self-correcting network of truth.

That’s how individual experiments evolve into collective knowledge — and how progress, once proven, never fades.
